Exchange Server 2010 Administrator’s Pocket Consultant
Microsoft heeft een preview pdf vrijgegeven van de binnen kort gereleasde Exchange Server 2010 Administrator’s Pocket Consultant van Microsoft Press.
VMWare vSphere NIC (VMX 2 & VMX 3) Drivers aan MDT 2010 toevoegen
1. Download HIER de drivers die standaard mee gegeven worden met vSphere. Hier zitten ook de de drivers voor VMX2 Enhanced Driver en de VMX 3 Driver.
2. Maak onder Out-of-Box Drivers twee mapjes aan. Zie de afbeelding hieronder. 
3. Importeer de drivers uit de 7zip bestand.
4. Klik de MDT Deployment Share weer aan en klik op Update Deployment Point 
5. 
6. Wil je dit met Powershell doen klik op view script dan krijg het volgende powerscript te zien:
Add-PSSnapIn Microsoft.BDD.PSSnapIn
New-PSDrive -Name "DS001" -PSProvider MDTProvider -Root "E:\Distribution"
update-MDTDeploymentShare -path "DS001:" -Verbose
7. Vergeet niet om de oude LiteTouchPE_x64 & LiteTouchPE_x86 in WDS te verwijderen en opnieuw toe te voegen.
Exchange 2007 SP2 is vrijgegeven en te downloaden.

You can deploy Exchange Server 2010 in your organization once all of the Client Access servers in your organization have been upgraded to Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2). In addition, any Exchange 2007 Server, regardless of server role, in the Active Directory site you are transitioning, must be upgraded to Exchange 2007 SP2.
Exchange 2007 Service Pack 2 includes a VSS plug-in for Windows Server Backup to support Exchange backups. Once SP2 is installed, you can use Windows Server Backup to back up and restore your Exchange 2007 SP2 databases. The new plug-in is delivered in the form of a single executable called WSBExchange.exe. This plug-in is automatically installed by SP2 on all Exchange 2007 Mailbox servers. The plug-in enables Windows Server Backup to be able to make Exchange-aware VSS backups. New Exchange auditing events and audit log repository enable Exchange administrators to more easily audit the activities occurring on their Exchange servers. It allows the right balance of granularity, performance, and easy access to audited events via a dedicated audit log repository. This simplifies the auditing process and makes review of audited events easier by segregating audited events in a dedicated location. For more information about the new auditing features available with SP2, see Understanding Mailbox Access Auditing with Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2.
The dynamic AD schema update and validation feature allows for future schema updates to be dynamic deployed as well as proactively preventing conflicts whenever a new property is added to the AD schema. Once this capability is deployed it will enable easier management of future schema updates and will prevent support issues when adding properties that don’t exist in the AD schema. Exchange 2007 Service Pack 2 provides a more efficient way to manage Public Folder quotas by improving the current cmdlets and removing the dependency on the Public Folder Distributed Authoring and Versioning Administration to perform management tasks. For more information about the new public folder quota management features, see the Set-PublicFolder cmdlet documentation.
There are several new cmdlet parameters that have been added that enable centralized management of many of the Exchange organization settings.

Hoe Office 2007 distribueren met MDT
1. “Deployment Workbench” > “Distribution Share” > “Applications” > “New”.
2. Kies voor “Application with source files”.
3. Vul de gegevens in:
4. Geef de locatie van de bestanden op. In mijn geval was dit de Office 2007 DVD.
5. Hoe moet de map heten.
6. Geef bij command line setup.exe in:
7. Finish & en hij gaat het zaakje kopieeren 
8. Als je de properties kiest van Office 2007 Enterprise 
9. Dan zie je dat er een tabblad is bijgekomen genaamd Office Products
10. Nu kunnen we deze gaan aanpassen: 
Display level: None betekent silent install
Vergeet niet om even op Apply te klikken. Nu wordt er een xml op de achtergrond aangemaakt.
11. Als je op Apply geklikt heb ga dan terug naar het tabblad Details.
Je ziet nu dat quint install command is aangepast naar: setup.exe /config Enterprise.WW\config.xml
12. Ga weer net tabblad Office Products
13. Wanneer je Office Customization Tool aanklikt dan krijg je het volgende te zien.
Je kunt dus alles aanpassen wat je wilt. 
14. Als je nu op Edit config.xml doet krijg je het volgende te zien. 
Ik heb de config even aan moeten passen zodat deze werkt aangezien ik de NL versie distribueer.

1. Deployment Workbench > Task Sequences > Windows XP > Properties.
2. Ga naar tabblad Task Sequence 
3. Ga naar State Restore > Install Applications. Kies Install a single application > Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise. en klik op OK.

Audit Event Id 529 & 680 on Security Log in de Event Viewer
Een collega merkte de volgende event id’s log op verschillende server’s.
Ik werk momenteel op een Windows 7 RC machine die niet in het domein hangt.
Ik werk heel vaak met mRemote op Server over te nemen.
De meldingen waren als volgt:
De boosdoener was het volgende.

Oplossing:
Verander het volgende in: 
Nu zijn de meldingen verdwenen op de desbetreffende server.

VMWare Converter Handige Tips
Wat doe je allemaal nadat je een Server gevirtualiseerd (P2V) hebt.
Doe je het volgende:
De Lijst:
1. Installeer je VMware Tools.
2. Verwijder overbodige Software.
3. Stop on nodige services die niet meer gebruikt worden.
4. Open command prompt
5. Type “SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1″ en enter
6. “START DEVMGMT.MSC”
7. Wanneer je “Device Manager” open hebt ga je naar View en kies voor Show hidden Devices.
8. Verwijder alles wat licht gekleurd is.
Zo ontdoe je van alle oude hardware die tijdens de P2V mee genomen wordt.
Nu krijg je de melding niet dat er op een andere netwerk adapter een IP is ingesteld.
